Boston is a C40 City, demonstrating a commitment to combat climate change and reduce its GHG emissions that is leading the way. Boston’s climate and energy strategy, known as the Climate Action Plan, aims to reduce GHG emissions 25% by 2020, 50% by 2030, and be Carbon Free by 2050. The city monitors and assesses the risk climate change poses and has developed a climate resiliency plan known as Climate Ready Boston.
