As part of the 100 Resilient Cities network, Washington D.C. is busy with activity. A comprehensive Resilience Strategy in is the works to increase resilience to climate shocks and stresses. Led by a team within the Executive Office of the Mayor, the Resilient D.C. initiative takes an inclusive approach to the challenge, inviting communities and civil society to input innovative ideas for growth and development. In addition, the Sustainable D.C. plan outlines measures that businesses, residents, and government can take to decrease climate-related risk and focus on long-term sustainability in the District of Colombia.
